Answered Prayers Through Faith

Brook Brotzman, the President of G.O. Ministries, went to Batey Nueve and met William Decena for the first time in 1991. He was overwhelmed with the poverty and the slavery type conditions that these people worked in. William asked for help, Brook provided him with some and asked him to start praying for God to provide a partner. After faithful prayer for seven years, a church in Illinois, Clarendon Hills, said they would partner with him. They wanted to help William feed starving children, teach them about Christ, and support him and his extraordinary efforts!

When Clarendon Hills visited the Bateys for the first time, there were many tears of joy as the partnership was formed and prayers were answered. Praise God!

William feeds 40 kids a day and mentors several young pastors in the surrounding area.
He grew up practicing voodoo and when he became a Christian, his wife left him and his family disowned him. William is a tower of power in a place with little hope!

G.O. Ministries plans on building two dorms, a new church, and a conference center over the next two years to facilitate continued outreach in the area.
